English translation: Here we have a medicine called orgilai. It is used for many things if you cut the roots and drink them in a stew. To make the stew, you cook the goat’s head and legs with the medicine and drink. If you drink it will help heal the knee joints and back pain. The Maasai have another use for the plant too. A mixture of Armagirigiriani, Orgilai, Osentu, and Olorien are burned when a Maasai moves into a new home. The plants are mixed and burned inside the home as a prayer to bring faith and good health to its inhabitants.

Swahili translation: Orgilai ndio hii na iko nzuri kwa mahali tofauti mingi,maana ikiitwa orgilai inasaidia mtu,pia inatumiwa kutoa fimbo ya kushika,inatumiwa kutoa fimbo ya kushika maana inaitwa orgilai,inakunyiwa maana inasaidia kila mtu,orgilai ndio inaitwa orgilai ya kutoa fimbo.


English translation: Orgilai is good for many different uses, like if someone needs a stick to hold, it is used to make a stick. It is also drunk to heal many diseases. However, orgilai is a very good tree to make walking sticks from.
