Swahili translation: Osokonoi ni ya watu wanaumwa na tumbo ndio wanapatiwa,ule mtu ameshiba anakunywa osokonoi inasakasaka inakuwa nzuri,hakuna dawa nyingine tunakunywa.
English translation: Osokonoi is for people that have a stomach ache, this is what they are given. After the person eats and is full they can drink osokonoi and they become better, and they won’t need any other medicines. Recording 2: Maasai translation:  Osokonoi ele opiki eilata naa ninye ohi pee eneiho olndung’ani, neyeng’i enger nihorieki eilata, naa teniata napor sesen tee engohoke naa inye kinjori amu ore ela napi naleng’ meeta eniokie eilata arahu eniok neja noo osokoi naa ninye kijo neja, naa kuna benek edung’i nepiki eilata arahu itauni engaboboki neojuni aaakitu pee eokieki eilata meeta osokonoi ele ninye ohi kindumia tina ooitoi.
Swahili translation:Â hii ni osokonoi inawekwa mafuta ndio mtu anapatiwa baada ya kuchinja kondoo na kupatiwa na mafuta na ukiwa na nyongo kwa tumbo ndio unapatiwa maana ni kali'ndio ukikunywa mafuta ama ukikunywa hivyo na ni osokonoi,hizi majani ikikatwa inawekwa mafuta ama inatolewa maganda na kuchonga nakutoa nyepesi na kukunyiwa mafuta,sasa hii ndio osokonoi na hiyo ndio matumizi yake.
English translation: This is osokonoi. It is drunk with oil. This is given to a person after they slaughter a sheep and collect the oil, so if the person has bile in the stomach, they drink this because it is very effective. Yes, you drink the oil of the goat with this. When the leaves are cut, you mix them with the oil. To get the oil you must skin the goat and then you can extract the oil. This is osokonoi and that is its use.
